The Baystate Research Incubator Fund provides internal grants in the form of “seed” money to encourage research.


The following 2013 Incubator Fund grants were awarded in December 2012 for a January 2013 start date:

  • The Role of Hyperoxic Reperfusion in Postcardiac Arrest Myocardial Dysfunction
    Principle Investigator: Timothy Mader, MD
  • The Development of an Integrated Prognostic Instrument and Decision-Making Program for Patients with Stage IV-V Chronic Kidney Disease.
    Principal Investigator: Daniel Landry, DO
  • Epigenetic Control of Tamoxifen-Resistant Breast Cancer
    Principle Investigators: Christopher Otis, MD and Kathleen Arcaro, PhD
  • Evaluating the Impact of a Care Coordination Program at a Community Health Center Serving a Low Income Hispanic Population
    Principal Investigator: Sarah Goff, MD
