Baystate Medical Center
is an 800-bed hospital that is the region's most comprehensive resource for primary, secondary, and tertiary care. One of the largest teaching hospitals in the country, Baystate is the Western Campus of the Tufts University School of Medicine and is responsible for a quarter of all Tufts clinical education programs. The Medical Center maintains nine independent Residency Programs, including internal medicine, pediatrics, medicine/pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, emergency medicine, general surgery, pathology, radiology, and anesthesiology. Numerous clinical fellowship programs are also available. Baystate has a core of approximately 200 full-time faculty, complemented by our state-of-the-art clinical facilities and a well-equipped Health Sciences Library.
