It's No Ordinary Walk In the Park

Since it was founded in 1994, Rays of Hope - A Walk Toward the Cure of Breast Cancer has been committed to improving the breast health of people in our communities with quality and compassion. Through the Baystate Health Foundation, the Walk has grown from 500 participants to over 15,000 and has exceeded $7.3 million raised and awarded throughout western Massachusetts.

All Rays of Hope Funding Stays Local

Last year through the Baystate Health Foundation, Rays of Hope raised over $850,000 to benefit the at the Comprehensive Breast Center at the Baystate Regional Cancer Program and various community support projects throughout western Massachusetts.  

 

Funding benefits the Baystate Regional Cancer Program's Comprehensive Breast Center, breast health programs at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, Baystate Mary Lane Hospital in Ware, outreach and education, and various community support projects and organizations.

 

More than $1.56 million has been awarded to breast cancer research grants; many being done locally through Baystate Medical Center and the Pioneer Valley Life Sciences Institute.
