Welcome! These recruitment policies and tips on searching and applying online for a new position at Baystate Health will make the application process simpler and speedier for you.

Search for Open Positions — you have two search options: Basic and Advanced
|

Review Open Positions
A list of open positions that match your search criteria will display.
- Click on the Posting Title for more information about the job.
- When finished with the full description, select Return to Job Postings at the bottom of the page.
- To apply for a position, click on checkbox for that job.
- You may apply for up to three jobs per day.

Featured Options
Use the following features to make future searches and applications more efficient:
- My Saved Jobs - to maintain a list of positions that interest you.
- My Saved Searches - to save your search criteria for future visits.
- You can ask the system to notify you automatically if new job openings matching your criteria are posted.
- My Career Tools - to add and manage:
- Cover letters
- Resumes
- Additional attachments.
- My Profile - to update your contact information and other personal data.

Apply for an Open Position Online

- Click Apply Now once you have selected the positions you want to apply for (limited to three per day)
- Select a resume option and follow the system prompts provided for each:
- Upload a new resume from your computer
- If you do this, our program can automatically prefill much of your information into the online application form.
- Copy and paste resume text from a file on your computer
- Use an existing resume already on file with our system
- Apply without a resume
- Select Continue and Apply Now
- Your name and the address you most recently provided Baystate will display.
- Review this information for accuracy. If anything is incorrect, contact your HR representative.
- E-mail address:
- If you have a Baystate e-mail address, this will display in My Profile. Baystate Health will confirm receipt of your application in an e-mail to this address, and it will use this address to communicate with you during the application process.
- If you have an e-mail address but the e-mail address field is blank, contact your HR Representative with the correct information.
- If you do not have an e-mail address, contact Recruitment at 413-794-3666.

For your convenience, we will ask you to complete the online application form only once. It will remain on file for you to use whenever you apply for a Baystate Health position online. You may update or edit it any time you wish. The personal history details it ask for include:

If you previously provided any of this information when your were hired or in a prior job application it will display. You may correct or update prefilled information by:

Submit Your Online Application and Sign Out
- At the end of the online Application form:
- Select Submit
- This will send your application for the job(s) you selected for this session to Baystate Health Recruiting
- Recruiting will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your application to your e-mail address on file.

Do I have to complete every section of the online form?
We specify the information on the form that is required. For other categories, we urge you to provide the most complete information possible to ensure that our screening process considers all of your experience and attributes.
If I am only interested in employment at one Baystate Health location, what do I do?
If you specify a location in your Advanced job search, the system will display only job openings for that location.
What do I do once I enter my online application? I can't find a way to go back and search / apply for jobs.
Select Careers Home to go back to the Applicant Home Page.
How can I get help with my online application?

Will Baystate Health notify me whether or not you plan to take action on my application?
You will receive an e-mail acknowledgement when you submit an application. If your qualifications meet the criteria of the job, a recruiter will contact you.
How can I track my applications for positions at Baystate Health?
You have two options:

On the Careers Home page under My Career Tools, you can view the positions that you have applied for, including:

Job title

Status of application

Date of application

There is also a Notifications section on the Careers Home page where you will be notified about positions that have been positions that match your My Saved Searches.
What is my country code?
This field is for applicants from outside the USA Only. It is a numeric code. If you do not know it, leave it blank.
What are the hours of shifts at Baystate Health?
Exact shift hours may vary by job or department, but generally:

First Shift = normal daytime hours, such as 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Second Shift = late afternoon/early evening hours, such as 4 p.m. to 12 midnight
-
Third Shift = late night hours, such as 10 p.m to 6 p.m.
I have always accessed the PeopleSoft System using the Favorites in my browser, but all of a sudden this is not working. Why?
When we upgraded the system, we had to link it to a new URL during the implementation. Access the system from the options on eWorkplace or baystatehealth.com and save this new URL to your browser Favorites

Transfer Eligibility
• You must complete 12 months in a position before you become eligible to apply for a transfer to an open position within Baystate Health.
• Consideration for positions is contingent on the your qualifications and past performance.

Application Processing
• Baystate recruiters screen all transfer applications.
• Recruiters may require verification of your credentials and/or administer a test to verify your technical skills and aptitude for the new position.
• Hiring managers will work with Recruitment and Human Resources to select the most qualified applicants for interviews.
• They will contact the your current manager for a reference.
• Inform your manager if you are invited to interview for an internal position.

Job Offer
• If you are the top applicant,Human Resources will offer you the position with a salary offer, if applicable.
• Your present and new supervisor will negotiate a mutually acceptable transfer date.
• If you accept the offer, Recruitment will notify all other candidates of the hiring decision.
• Transfers are contingent upon approval from Employee Health Services.
