Spiritual Services at Baystate Franklin Medical Center

Chaplain Services

A volunteer member of our Chaplaincy Services team may stop by to greet you
and is available for support, counsel, prayer and sacraments. Our hospital
chaplains are professionally-trained and will be sensitive to your particular
spiritual needs. If you would like to contact your own religious leader or a
hospital chaplain, your nurse will be happy to assist you, or you may call
Volunteer Services at ext. 32318.

Our Interfaith Chapel is always open for prayer and meditation. The Chapel is
located on the first floor of the hospital next to the main elevators.

Volunteer Chaplaincy Program

In order to enhance spiritual care for Baystate Franklin Medical Center patients and staff, we developed a Volunteer Chaplaincy program to provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families and staff in the complexities that arise from hospitalization, health care decision making, treatment, illness, trauma, and death.

Ten spiritual care providers from the community have volunteered to be part of this exciting venture. We are very excited about this program that will successfully contribute to our "patient first" philosophy around spiritual needs.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer chaplain at Baystate Franklin Medical Center, call Becky George, volunteer coordinator at 413-773-2318, or Marla Killough, social worker, at 413-773-2303.
