Children diagnosed with cancer or blood disorders need coordinated, family-centered care. Our experienced team cares for children with these serious conditions in a supportive environment, backed by the latest technology, treatment options, and access to clinical trials.
Our caregivers treat children and their families with a full range of pediatric hematology/oncology conditions, including anemia, bleeding disorders, thalassemia, and all types of childhood cancers. In addition, we offer subspecialty clinics for sickle cell disease, thrombophilia, and cancer survivorship to ensure effective treatment for long-term care.

Outpatient Care at the Sadowsky Center for Children
We see patients and families on an outpatient basis at the Sadowsky Center for Children, within the D’Amour Center for Cancer Care at 3350 Main Street in Springfield.
Our young patients receive all of their outpatient care in this one convenient location which includes:
- Clinical exam areas
- Radiation therapy facilities
- A Child-friendly infusion suite
- A chemotherapy pharmacy
- A Diagnostic laboratory to expedite treatment and complete blood count results.
- Bone marrow biopsies and spinal taps, attended by pediatric anesthesiologists for sedation.
- A child life specialist will explain procedures to children in an age-appropriate manner to help reduce anxiety and concerns.
Inpatient Care at Baystate Children’s Hospital
Some children require admission to the hospital for treatment. We care for our patients at Baystate Children’s Hospital, housed within Baystate Medical Center, located less than five minutes from the D’Amour Center for Cancer Care.

Griffin’s Friends is a group of community volunteers who raise charitable gifts in partnership with Baystate Health Foundation to support local children afflicted with cancer and life-threatening blood disorders.
