Pediatric Infectious Diseases

Who We Are:

Our multidisciplinary team includes nurse case managers, a social worker, and a peer educator for the care of HIV/AIDS illness in families.  We perform inpatient consultations in all areas of Baystate Children's Hospital and offer follow up care when necessary in the subspecialty Ambulatory Care Center at 3300 Main Street.  Our patients and families have access to all the facilities and programs of Baystate Children's Hospital.  Our physicians are all board certified in pediatric Infectious Diseases and are faculty members of Tufts University School of Medicine Western Campus. 

 

Our Services:

Pediatric Infectious Diseases division provides treatment and consultations for patients with a referral from their primary care physician or pediatrician for evaluation of simple to complex infectious diseases including:

  • HIV/AIDS
  • Recurrent skin infections
  • Bone infections (osteomyelitis)
  • Lyme disease
  • Meningitis
  • Difficult-to-treat infections
  • Antibiotic-resistant infections
  • Travel and international adoption related illnesses

 

We see these children in the hospital during hospitalization or as an outpatient consultation.
