Flexible Sigmoidoscopy

1.	Purchase two Fleet enemas from any pharmacy. This does not require a prescription.

2.	You may consume a regular diet on the day before the procedure.

3.	If your procedure is in the morning, do not eat or drink anything after midnight before the procedure. If your procedure is in the afternoon, you may have a light breakfast before 8 a.m. After 8 a.m., consume nothing.

4.	Two hours before the procedure, take one of the Fleet enemas according to the directions on the container.

5.	Take the second enema half an hour after the first.

6.	Take all of your medications (with a small amount of water), as usual.
