Gynecologic Oncology

Physicians trained in gynecologic oncology have special expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of cancers affecting the female reproductive organs. These cancers include malignancies such as:

  • Cervical
  • Uterine
  • Ovarian
  • Vaginal 

 

Gynecologic oncologists are gynecologists with additional training in the management of these cancers who provide both surgical and drug treatments. They work closely with radiation oncologists and other specialists to provide multidisciplinary care for their patients.

 

Baystate's gynecologic oncologists provide comprehensive care including:

for women with gynecological cancer and preinvasive disease.  Our gynecologic oncologists work in close collaboration with Baystate's radiation oncologists. Through our affiliation with the Gynecologic Oncology Group, our patients can access state-of-the-art national clinical trials.
