Volunteering

Baystate organizations rely upon thousands of hours of volunteer efforts.  Whatever you like to do, we have a need.

- Baystate volunteers revitalize our spirit and strengthen our commitment to the people we serve.

- They enhance the quality of care for our patients by providing an extra special personal element.

- They are a dedicated group, an invaluable resource that extends and supplements services throughout the Health System.

- Volunteers have the opportunity to help others while meeting new people and making new friends.

We accept teen and adult volunteers. Volunteer placements are based on skills, abilities and availability of positions. Acceptance or placement as a volunteer is not guaranteed.  All volunteers are pre-screened before being placed in an assignment. Applicants must be able to speak, read and write basic English as interviews and orientations are held in English.

Don’t Delay!  Explore becoming a Baystate Health volunteer today!

Download our volunteer application form.  Complete the form and mail it to the facility where you wish to volunteer (see Contact Us on the right of this page).

Please note:

We regret that we cannot accommodate juvenile or adult, court appointed community service requests.

Volunteering does not lead to employment.  While some volunteers have gone on to be hired at Baystate it should not be an expectation or reason for volunteering.
