Welcome to the Baystate Health Quality Report.  We recognize that you have a choice in healthcare, and we encourage you to make informed decisions about you and your family’s healthcare. 

 

Baystate Health is a leader nationally in quality improvement and patient safety and we believe in complete transparency of the data of care we provide.  Our Quality Report was one of the first of its kind in the country to be transparently accountable to our community on success and opportunities to improve.  Baystate Health’s mission is to improve the health of the people in our communities every day, with quality and compassion.   To provide the highest quality of care to our patients, we continuously measure and improve our care including ways to increase survival rates, patient safety, and patient satisfaction/experience, as we learn to be one of the safest hospitals in the country.  This report highlights the excellent care we provide to our patients and is one of our ways to share with our employees and our community our commitment to evidence-based quality care, patient safety, and satisfaction. 

 

We invite everyone to view information on the quality of care provided at Baystate Health.  Throughout this report, you will see how Baystate Health hospitals are performing in comparison to the best hospitals in the United States, and we are pleased to share the results with you.
