Vitamins and Nutrition lecture offered to area women

Ware, MA (January 25, 2012) - It’s a New Year! Are you focusing on eating right, exercising, and taking your vitamins this year?  

 

Area women are invited to attend “Vitamins and Nutrition, a Lecture for Women’s Health”, a special program sponsored by the Spirit of Women Program at Baystate Mary Lane Hospital.  Guest speakers include Dr. Dyanne Tappin and Lisa Beaudry, CNM, and dietitian, Alicia Walter.  This event will be held on Thursday, February 2, from 6:00-7:30 pm in the Main Conference Room, located on the second floor of the hospital. 

 

“This program will offer women information about basic nutrition, exercise and vitamins and how they affect our health,” said Tracy Whitley, Manager of Loyalty Programs and the Spirit of Women Program.  

 

Dr. Tappin and Lisa Beaudry, CNM, along with Dr. Mohammed Ahmed, provide a full range of gynecological and obstetric care to women of all ages at Baystate Medical Practices-Mary Lane Ob/Gyn.   Alicia Walter, Registered Dietitian and Nutrition Educator, provides inpatient Clinical Nutrition Therapy and facilitates the Diabetes Support group at the hospital. 

 

Spirit of Women is a free, loyalty program specifically designed for women, offering monthly seminars with direct access to physicians, nurses and other medical professionals and the latest women's health information in a comfortable and lively setting. The program is designed to increase knowledge of women's health issues and provide information needed to make the best decisions regarding your health.
