Basic EMT DOT Refresher Course Offered at Baystate Mary Lane Hospital to Benefit Rays of Hope

Ware – (September 12, 2013) Baystate Mary Lane Hospital will partner with
Charles “Michael” Callahan, EMT-P, to offer a Basic EMT DOT Refresher Course to be held at the hospital. An EMT DOT Refresher is required by the Department of Public Office of Emergency Services, EMTs must attend one DOT refresher Course during each certification period in order to maintain their certification through 2013.


The 24 hour EMT Basic DOT Refresher course will be held Saturday, October 12, and October 26, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Thursday, October 17, and November 14, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Participants must attend all course dates to receive the approved credits.


The $35.00 course fee is being waived and in lieu of payment participates are asked to make a donation to the Rays of Hope – A Walk & Run Toward the Cure of Breast Cancer in recognition of their 20th Anniversary. Since its inception in 1994, Rays of Hope has been helping women and men in the fight against breast cancer by supporting research at the Rays of Hope Center for Breast Cancer Research and also by walking along side them on their cancer journey. Donations will be collected by Callahan throughout the DOT refresher class dates.
