Support Groups

Adolescent/HIV Support Group

An Adolescent Support Group meets monthly the third Wednesday of each month, from 4-6pm, open to any adolescent who is infected with HIV. Amy Wilson, RN, facilitates the group. Please contact Amy for more information at 413-794-5014.

 

Family Pediatric HIV/AIDS Support Group

This family support group is open to families and children who are followed in the Pediatric HIV/AIDS clinics. The group is facilitated by Maripat Toye, RN and Amy Wilson, RN. Please contact Amy Wilson for more information at 413-794-5014.

 

Child Behavior Support Group

This group is designed for parents of school-aged children who would like support and information about how to address problem behaviors in their children.You will learn assertive parenting skills that work and have the opportunity to meet other parents who also have children with problem behaviors.

SHARE

Share is a support group of and for parents who have lost children through miscarriage, stillbirth or infant death.  It meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the Baystate Medical Center Community Conference Room,  3300 Main Street, Springfield.

The Community Conference Room is on the ground floor. Walk past the information desk and the Community conference room is on the left, next to the Cafe.

Parking is available in the parking lot or the Walter Street garage.

This group is free and no pre-registration is required. For further information about the group, call Joanne at 413-562-1731.

 

Sexual Abuse Support Group

The Family Advocacy Center holds a Support Group for mothers of sexually abused children. The group meets every Tuesday evening from 6-7 pm at the Family Advocacy Center in the Medical Office Building, 2 Medical Center Drive (behind Baystate Medical Center), Springfield, MA.
