Lisa Sanders, MD

A 22 year-old Woman with Fever and Jaundice: A Case of Diagnostic Error

Lisa Sanders, MD is a clinician educator in the Primary Care Internal Medicine Residency Program at Yale Medical School. In addition to her work as a physician and teacher, she writes the popular New York Times Magazine's "Diagnosis" column which explores how a doctor is able to make a diagnosis in patients whose baffling symptoms have brought them back to the office or emergency room time after time.


Gerald Shulman, MD, PhD

Cellular Mechanisms of Insulin Resistance: Implications for Type 2 Diabetes, Obesity and Lipodystrophy

Gerald Shulman, MD, PhD is the George R. Cowgill Professor of Physiological Chemistry, Medicine and Cellular & Molecular Physiology at Yale University. He is an internationally recognized diabetes researcher and leading authority on the cellular mechanisms of insulin resistance, the role of the liver and muscle in the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes, and the benefits of exercise in the management of diabetes.
