One of the premier med-peds residency programs in the country, Baystate has 32 med-peds residents and 17 med-peds trained faculty. Baystate's med-peds program was founded in 1983 by the chairmen of the Department of Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics, Drs. Martin Broder and Edward Reiter. Since then we have graduated more than 130 residents, most of whom currently care for both adults and children.
The institutional commitment, as demonstrated by support for 17 med-peds faculty and the funding of a new health center, combined with ongoing support from the founding chairmen has allowed Baystate's med/peds program to flourish. With an innovative curriculum maximizing education in the ambulatory setting, Baystate offers an exceptional environment in which to train.
