- The Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Baystate Medical Center participates in the ERAS Program for the residency application process. For information about applying to our Emergency Medicine residency, visit the ERAS website.
- ERAS applications are reviewed daily.
- Once an applicant is selected, an interview invitation is mailed.
We will be interviewing on Tuesdays and Fridays early November through mid- January.
We begin the process with an optional night out at one of our local establishments in Northampton, the day before. This gives the applicant the opportunity to see a bit of the area, and to meet some of the residents and faculty in an informal setting.
Each applicant interviews with the program director, 2 attendings, and a resident; has lunch with the residents; and is given a tour of the ED by one of our residents.
All rotating students applying to EM are extended an interview with our residency. These interviews will take place during the last week of the rotation and give students the opportunity to meet with the residency faculty, practice their interview skills and save time and money from returning at a later date. Students interested in this opportunity should schedule with Tara Rivest.
