Lisa Buckley, Nursing Clinical Research Scholar, Presents Study at Nursing Honor Society Event

May 01, 2013

Principal Investigator Lisa Buckley, RN, presented the results of her year long study, “Historical Case Control Study Comparing Early Ambulation versus Traditional Ambulation in Terms of Patient Pain, Satisfaction and Complication Rates,” at   Sigma Theta Tau International, Beta Zeta at Large Scholarship Day at the Log Cabin on April 11, 2013.

Carol Hesketh, RN and Paula Lusardi, RN, PhD, Director of Nursing Research, were also investigators on the study which appeared to demonstrate that early ambulation conferred no additional increase in complications, and may be as safe as standard ambulation in diagnostic cardiac catheterization patients.
