Education
Registered nurses may have a bachelor’s of science degree in nursing (BSN), an associates degree in nursing (ADN) or a diploma from a nursing program. Masters degrees are required for advanced practice nursing specialties. Students must then pass a national licensing examination.

Length of Clinical Experience
Approximately 3 months. These are typically 12 hour shifts 2 days a week.
