Athletic Trainers may receive bachelor and graduate degree education. According to the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), more than 70 percent of certified athletic trainers hold at least a masters degree. The undergraduate program leads toward eligibility to take the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (BOC) Exam.
Clinical experiences are arranged through the academic advisor from programs that are affiliated with BMC.
Length of Clinical Experience
At Baystate Medical Center, undergraduate students in the Athletic Training program will observe a surgical procedure, as arranged by the academic instructor. The length of this clinical experience will occur within one day.
Clinical Tracks at BMC
Students will observe a surgical procedure at Baystate Surgical Services under the direct supervision of their academic instructor.
