Train in a High-Volume, High-Acuity ED

The best way to learn emergency medicine is by treating a lot of very sick patients.

  • Ample Clinical Experience
With 110,000+ patient visits a year, Baystate's emergency department is one of the highest volume emergency departments in the northeast U.S.
  • Exposure to Diverse Pathologies
You will be treating a lot of high acuity patients: Baystate Medical Center is the region's only tertiary referral, Level 1 trauma center.

Hands-on Training Alongside EM Residents

Our EM Physician Assistant residency is offered in conjunction with our EM physician residency program. You will train alongside our EM residents, as well as our attending physicians and advanced practitioners, in a multitude of clinical settings.

Learning to be a competent, highly functional member of the emergency medicine healthcare team prepares you for a successful career as an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant.
