Applying to the Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship

Admission requirements and application process for the MIS Fellowship

APPLICATION PROCESS

All applications are processed through the Fellowship Council.

The following information is required:

  • Personal Statement
  • Current CV
  • 3 - 5 letters of recommendation (which should include a letter from the Surgery Residency Program Director).
  • USMLE/COMLEX scores
  • ABSITE scores

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

All fellowship candidates must fulfill Baystate's Resident/Fellow Appointment Requirements.

In addition, applicants to the Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship must:

  • be expecting to graduate general surgery residency training at the end of this academic year
  • be in good academic standing with their program
  • be board-eligible in their specialty at the start of the year

INTERVIEWS

Virtual Interviewing

Interviews will be conducted virtually using one of the chosen platforms—Zoom, Webex or Thalamus.
